Mr Justice Henshaw will give a talk entitled: “Bunkers and Buffets: Claims for the Price of Goods”
Henshaw J will talk about a recurrent theme in sale of goods/commodities cases – whether the seller is entitled to sue for the price, as opposed having a mere damages claim. He will begin with the 2012/13 litigation against John Holt & Co (Liverpool) Ltd, and end by considering two conflicting decisions of the Commercial Court decided within the last twelve months. Henshaw J will also touch on the work of the Liverpool-based International Cotton Association.
